
Make your own botanical inks + Q&A - 07/11/2020
This first appointment will be an introduction to the world of natural dyes. In particular I will demonstrate how to extract colour from plant matter and food scraps to make your own botanical inks. We will also play around with the Ph levels and see how this will affect your dyes.

EQUIPMENT
As this will be an introduction to making your own dyes, I will demonstrating to you the process of making the inks. For you to make these in your own time, you will need:
- food scraps and plant material (ie. onion skins, berries, avocado pits and peels, pomegranate skins, carrot peel)
- coffee filters or a cheese cloth
- some glass jars to store the inks
- paintbrushes and paper
- vinegar + lemon + honey
